Alejandro Jodorowsky is a French-Chilean artist. A legendary filmmaker, he is also known as a comic book writer. He is also an actor, mime, novelist, essayist, poet and author of performances within the group Panique, which he created with Roland Topor and Fernando Arrabal. In the cinema, he is the author of a handful of films with a strong spiritual symbolism.
In the 1990s, he participated with Philippe Camoin in the Reconstruction of the Tarot of Marseille. This work lasted several years and finally gave birth to the Camoin-Jodorowsky Tarot de Marseille, which is the reference today.
In the 80s, Alejandro Jodorowsky started the creation of a series of comics called "THE INCAL" or "An Adventure of John Difool". In November 2021 was the official announcement of the film adaptation of the Incal by director Taika Waititi, who directed "Thor: Ragnarok" for Marvel Studios and won an Academy Award for the film Jojo Rabbit.
